I have an 8 foot cabover Alaskan on a 1971 Ford F100. The setup is great except the cabover portion hits the top of my truck's cab. Does anyone have experience with this, and or a solution to the problem other than having the camper sit on a platform in the bed to raise it? I'd like to keep my center of gravity as low as possible, as well as have the bed rail support underneath the sides.
Thanks, Dan

If you don't want to raise the camper then the only solution I can think of is to chop the top of the truck.
