just got back from 5 days in Death Valley. Mostly cloudy so when there was a little sun during my breaks I took advantage of it. Yesterday, about an hour before sunset, the sun broke through the clouds and I saw I was only getting 1.9 amps on my trimetric. I made like a stinkbug with my 200w on the roof, leaned a 100w flexible against my chair and pointed it toward the sun, and went to 7.9 amps. It wasn't long enough to make a difference, more of an experiment that shows that direction of the panels makes a huge difference.

Indeed it does. I decided after first buying our Eagle (and before I installed the roof struts) I got the speaker stand crank to help lift roof. I used the Tripod legs (having removed them for the crank column) would be great for solar panel set up. works well.

I guess to squeeze out every amp I could also max out my rear air bags, might give me another degree or two!
