In case you have travel plans for Grand Teton NP and Yellowstone highway 189/191 is closed between Bondurant and Hoback Junction due to the Cliff Creek Fire that started this past Sunday 7/17/16).

Attention: Evacuations for Bondurant have been lifted, all Homeowners can return to their homes.

Hwy 189/191 will remain closed.


This is the main highway into Grand Teton NP and Yellowstone NP. Also summer home residents were allowed under escort to retrieve items from their homes in Granite Creek and Granite Creek Hot Springs is also affected.

Foy, that is exactly what I used and switched to satellite to see how close these fires were to where we will be going in a couple of months. Very handy site. Another fire popped up near Lander, WY

Best to go to the WYDOT website for road closure/condition information. They are the responsible agency for federal highways.
