There is a “new" adventure posted on Bosque Bill's Backroads travel & camping blog. Sorry it took me so long to get this published. There were lots of photos, so I broke it into four parts. You can begin with the first link below, then follow the links at the bottom of each post to the next.

Remember, you can click on any photo to view a larger version and once you see the larger image, use your arrow keys to move to the next or previous.

Thanks. Hope you enjoy.

Awesome, awesome trip and photos. I don't know how you were able to leave some of the campsites. So many of them look like what I would call my "Last Stand" places. I'm going to try to figure out the path you took but I don't know much about Colorado as it is just beyond a 2 week road trip for me. How long were you on the road??

Thanks so much for this inspirational TR!!

It is always grand to return to Colorado! No need to apologize for taking a bit of time to do your blog report. It made it fun to see color in the dead of winter! Thanks for taking us along. :)

Thanks, Ronin. I try to put route numbers and directions in my posts so others can find those spots (with some exceptions for sensitive areas.)

You might find my Map Index useful - go to the header on any post and look for the navigation button for the Map of Locations (I put a big arrow in the photo pointing to it.) Go to that page to see all my campsites (green pins) and scenic areas (red pins) - click a pin to open a box with a link to whichever post that location refers to. There are also photo galleries, with no commentary, on the map (orange pins.) If you click the bracket icon in the upper right corner of the small map, a full-window map will open in a new tab.

And you are always welcome to ask me questions here, or better yet, use the email link in the header of any blog page.

I put the inclusive dates of every trip at the top of the first post of every report. So you can see this trip was one week long. I find it helpful when bloggers include dates so I can see either how fresh the info is and/or what season or month they're writing about. So, I do that for my blog, too.

Thanks for the reply - so much great information!! Knowing you did all that in a week, a 2 - 2 1/2 week trip is definitely on my radar.

Great country! Thanks for your report- I enjoyed it. As others have said, nice to see some color in the middle of winter. :)

Bill, what great trip. We started in RMNP on 9/23 and wandered South. We got some beautiful aspen pictures. Had planned on driving through Taylor Creek area and Tin Cup but by-passed and went through Gunnison to Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP. We plan to return and visit Crested Butte and maybe Creed.

Thanks for sharing an amazing story. jd

Didn't read the report yet but I scanned through the photos. That in itself tells me that there is so much more to your report. Looking forward to reading it...for now...it is time to hit the rack.

I've only been to Southwest Colorado and that was amazing. So much more to explore.
