I am due to replace my Goodyear Wranglers OE tires 275-60R-20 VERY soon. I have 48,000 plus miles (99.9% on road miles) on my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 2007 Outfitter Caribou 8' Camper with Timbrens and Firestone Air Coils.

Right now my #1 tire choice is: Cooper Discoverer A/T3 rated 2679 lbs;

#2 tire choice is: Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor rated 2601 lbs;

What do you folks think? Rip away. LOL :)

I have the Goodyear SA's on my F150 and think well of them. They are quiet, some were recalled but not my size.

i am on my second set of the Goodyear Silent Armors, load range "E" on my F150. great tires, good mileage, I have over 60k on current set. will have to replace at end of summer. Either going with the same tire or maybe the Goodyear Duratrac. I have had no flats on two sets of these tires, wear is good, no noise from tires, good in wet weather, work well in snow and mud. The Duratrac is a more aggressive tread design. You can't go wrong with these tires.

My son just got at/3s a couple months ago for his 3/4 ton and he likes them. Put 80lbs. in tires and carried about 4000lbs of water for pool and tires looked fine. Not a lot of miles yet but they ride well and are fairly quiet. I got a set of cooper zion ltz. I like them so far. Quiet, E rated, put 60lbs in front& 65 in rear with hawk and boat. Handled fine . 1/2 ton dodge 2011, with timbrens. With out boat it only sits down about 1&1/2". I'm happy.

I put the GY DuraTracs on our 2500. It's a more aggressive tire tread than I would normally choose (BFG A/T's being my "std" tire), but ride is quiet, I've never felt a lack of traction, and the pavement handling feels exceptionally good for as large of a tire as I went with (315R16's). If the Silent Armour is built on the same carcass technology then it should be a good tire.
