80s fleet into 2000 silverado shortbed, maiden voyage coming up..was going to turnbuckle to corner bed loops that cone factory on most trucks, thats what i used to get it home, but started to think maybe these arent the strongest...but then again neither are these modern truck bed floors with sheet metal that seems to get thinnner and thinner..

Their have been a lot of failures when using truck bed loops. Not many failure when drilling into bed and putting "proper" eye bolts, secured underneath adding metal plates or thick large washers in my case.

I took the thin sheet metal truck bed out of the equation.
Eye bolt above the truck bed goes directly to the truck frame with the bracket I made.
Simple job for a welder or someone with welding skills and equipment.

Those corner bed loops are not designed to hold down your camper. The FWC supplied mounting parts provide a large surface area to spread the load out over. I've accidentally lifted up my whole truck/camper  when I was jacked up the camper before loosening the torklift turnbuckles... plenty strong!
