Crash Tests

Back in 2014 I got T-boned on the driver's side door while following other cars through a green light. The other person was going about 40 mph. My Highlander's airbags probably saved my life and, after feeling like I had been in the ring briefly with Muhammad Ali, I was able to walk away. Needless to say I am a huge fan of modern safety features on vehicles.

Because I have a dash cam I have video of the whole thing. But I have not watched it for several years.

OK, note to self, don’t run into a tree or barrier in my Tundra. At least not with the wife in the passenger seat.
It was all pretty darn scary! And interesting to see how different parts were affected like beds, wheels etc.
FWC make one to fit a Honda?

Driving with family vacationing with our FWC is a worry to me the investment on the back of a rig , health and saftey. Funny how the older one gets and working in a ER I suppose makes me a little more aware, Anyhow happy holidays and safe adventures. hoopy

Makes one wonder what the crash would have looked like with the added weight of a camper in the bed...although I don't think the camper would have been in the bed for long. I can't imagine the turnbuckles and tie-downs in the bed would have hung in there for more than one second into the crash.
