East Coast Trip Part 2, Baltimore to Key West.

Nice writeup. Have been to Florida twice. Rented a car and stayed at hotels since the drive from California is long. We stayed at cheap hotels from Orlando down the eastern side. Loved Key West and the Everglades. Stayed at a condo right next to Home Depot in Key West (Parrot Key http://www.parrotkeyresort.com/ ) but it was set up so you hardly knew you were in a busy area. Several pools.

Some of the motels were cheaper than the RV places you mentioned. Went back up the western side and did the same thing,

dorocks enjoyed your pictures. Especialy this one. Saw all the cars with blankets and traps at the everglades and I was just a little worried my wipers and windshield rubber would be gone when I got back from a hike. I did not know vultures like black rubber.

Bill,we took the kids to Florida one winter and spent a memorable day at Bahia Honda State Park. That is one of the nicest beaches we have ever been to. enjoying the report.

Thanks Bill.As I watch the weather map each day I think of you out there with some of that bad weather maybe in your area.
Looks like you have missed most.Hope the way home you don't run into the nasty stuff through the Texas area.
Safe travels.
Frank

Good report. I am enjoying it.

Looks like you escaped Baltimore just in time.

Best.
