Emergency Kit

It seems like the hi-lift discussion comes up allot here! My first rule about using a handy man is the one that old age and many years of experience has taught me: unless you can help it, don't go where you can get stuck, in the first place ! That said, don't use one unless you have been trained to use it properly. and if you do use it, never ever stand behind it as you jack your rig up-first put it in one of those base plates and jack it from the side Unfortunately, in my job, I had to go in places where I could get stuck and had to learn to use all the tools mentioned herein at one time or another! As I posted here in an earlier thread on "getting unstuck", today, I'll stop if it gets to rough, park sit under a tree a drink a beer and watch the other go and get stuck :p ! As a final thought on what to carry as survival gear, carry what ever works for you and what you feel comfortable with!

Smoke.

Our doc just sent this "bug out list".
Thought it might be helpful.
