Exterior Amber Light?

Love the FWC & this site but have little mechanical skills therefore the question: The exterior amber light failed last year - replaced the bulb then ordered/installed a new unit. It only worked for a moment - any thoughts/suggestions? Is there a fuse for this light?

You replaced the whole fixture? Probably a bad ground wire.

Those fixtures aren’t sealed and are susceptible to dust intrusion which can cause the switch to stop making good contact. You can often resurrect them by spraying the switch and electrical contacts with contact cleaner.

Yep blow out dust a little electric grease an repeat when needed

Yup, this was the case with mine. Cleaned the switch and it was good as new.

Thanks - It is a new light from FWC - I'll spray in anyway and try - any idea how to locate the ground?

Mine is grounded to the siding. Crappy way of doing it. Leads to lots of bad grounds but its "easy". If they're still doing it that way just tightening the bonding screw should do it.
