I often get asked about different tools I'm using in our Sprinter Build and figured I would highlight a few of my Must Have tools in a short video series.
This video highlights my Deburring tool...this tool is soooo handy to clean up edges when drilling holes for Rivetnuts, Plusnuts or just running wires etc.

Plus Nuts & Rivet Nuts. I made up a video showing the difference between a Rivet Nut & a Plus Nut...when to use each and an overview of the different installation tools.

Plus Nuts are super handy and I've been using a lot of them. I've been asked several times recently about the differences in a Plus Nut and a Rivet Nut so decided to make up a video and demonstrate the tools in action.

Marine Grade Wire & Heat Shrink Terminals vs Automotive Grade.

In this video I highlight the differences between Marine grade wire & heat shrink crimp terminals vs standard automotive grade. I also cover the difference between standard crimping tools and specialized heat shrink crimp tools.

I use marine grade crimps and wire almost exclusively in all of my builds. This is the 3rd video in a series where I'm highlighting tools, materials and techniques I use while building out our vehicles.

O.K., I'll bite -- Favorite tools, in approximate order of use (you will no doubt see that 'tools to task' drives priority):

- screwdriver, dewalt 7.2 volt rechargeable as well as hand powered classics
- shovel
- 10" plunge saw
- water pump pliers
- crescent wrenches (various sizes)
- english & metric socket sets with wrenches
- hand saw
- rechargeable brush trimmer
- coffee roaster (maybe should be first)
- multi tool (dewalt)
- table saw
- jig saw
- pipe wrenches
- shop vac (I have 2)
- hand truck
- air compressor
- utility knife (box cutter)

There are others but I am out of time...

No question, my favorite tool is a set of safety wire pliers. Each vehicle has a set and a 1# spool of .032" 304 SS wire. In conjunction with those I carry one of these tools: https://clamptitetools.com/ in each vehicle. Once you learn how to use these two tools there isn't a lot that you can't overcome.

Can’t say I actually have a genuine favorite but my newest tool that puts a smile on my face is the Makita cordless 7-1/4” circular saw, left hand blade like a worm drive. Had to cut/lay some 3/4” ply flooring at our 87-year old cabin, currently with no power. Easy peasy, could’ve run all day.

The tools I use most:
Tape measure
Hammer
Screwdriver(s)
Makita 18v cordless drill/driver. I’ve owned this for almost 20 years, use it all the time. I take it back, this may be my favorite go-to.
