I just joined this group as I am the new owner of a 1970? 10' fiberglass alaskan camper. I'm in the process of replacing the lift seals and found the information on parts i needed on this site :D
Currently its sitting on a smowmobile trailer while its in the restoration process, I hope to find a older Powerwagon to place it on in the future. Pictures are comming soon.

Purchase? No I didn't purchase it, it was given to me by a friend who wanted to put it on his unimog. restoration may prove that purchasing a nicer unit would be far less expensive.

I'm looking forward to making it better than it came from the mfg. It just might not look as nice. Thanks

Congratulations! I look at a fiberglass Alaskan but could not make it fit my Dodge box without a major adjustment that I was not prepared to do at the time. I really liked it, and no wood rot to worry about. I am sure you are going to be very happy with it. Welcome to the club, you will start to see them all over the place.
