Flatheads on the Alvord

I have to confess, I’m torn in different directions by this video. I love the Alvord, and I love old flathead hot rods. Thankfully the playa heals itself with the seasons.

Back in 1958 I had a 51 Ford dune buggy. The person I traded it from had removed the body,cut the frame behind
the rear seat and welded the axle to the frame. Lots of fun to use on the streets of my home town outside Philly.

Until the cops said it wasn't legal for street use.
Oh well fun while it lasted.

We were there that year, but a bit too early for the movie. Came across all dirt from Bend.

Did catch the Roadster pick-up and the cowl flamed 32 while still clean and on the trailer at Fields.
