Fridge move to backseat

I was hoping someone with a Gen 4 Ram might be able to tell me a good spot to run wire from the backseat area to the bed/camper area. After much thought, I’ve decided to move my fridge back there. I’ve removed the seat and the amount of room is massive. I’m building a deck and have a fridge slide on order.

I always seem to need access to
the fridge when I’m outside cooking, not when I’m headed for bed.

We have a 2012 Ram crew cab with the back seats out. I made a platform then added a second level.

Since on a flatbed the battery's are right near the passenger side rear it was easy to run power to the inside of the cab.

Had some extra 8 gauge wire and put it out the front battery box (along with 4 gauge for a air compressor). In the picture you will see a blue Anderson connection. That is for the cab wiring to pull apart if the camper is removed.

In a picture is where the cables enter the cab, from the underside up through the floor near the back wall. Then for you, can add to the end whatever connection to the fridge is needed.

I went this way because of the larger capacity of the camper batteries and the solar array to charge them. I could add a fridge or any thing in the cab and do ok.

Don't remember if they were there or I drilled them. Most likely I dilled them just were they would work the best for me.

I just removed my seat and the bolt holes go all the way through, so if yours is like that you could use oof those holes. Originally I had kept my seat (folded up) and was reluctant to drill new holes so I went through the vent on the back of the cab. Turns out that was an invitation for a mouse to move in.

Thanks. I’m using the stock holes to bolt down my platform. I drilled today and plan on running my wire to a SAE plug with a waterproof cap just under the side overhang of the camper. From there it’s a short straight shot to the bus bar. [emoji1303]

Looks great. I like the access door. I got my platform cut and sized today. Looks like it’s going to work just fine. I will need to be careful with my wiring when I pull the fridge slide in and out so it doesn’t get snagged.

I’m leaving the sides open under my platform so fly rods will slide in underneath.
