I bought my first Alaskan (2007 CO) last September abd have started using it a lot this spring and summer. Found on one trip that my fridge quit on propane. I hadn't been running the fridge fan as I thought it was for only when running fridge with top down. I now use the fan all the time when parked. This impacts battery life. How am I to use the fridge vent and conserve battery?

It may help as this will automatically relight the refrigerator for you as well as help light it originally. Best to make sure the burner is also up to spec if the relighter has to work a lot. Is the vent plugged or obstructed in some way? Does your CO detector stay quiet?

what a coincidence. my co detector went off on our last trip.

i disassembled and brushed out the clogged burner after reading this post!

i guess the exhaust was going up then coming in an open window.
the detector went off a 4am....ugh.
