FWC Ranger purchase forthcoming

I have a sale pending on a 2000 ranger camper and wanted to find out what truck model new or used would be a good fit? Looks like the ranger is no longer made.

I like the Ranger's narrow profile and longer length. Can you carry these with the tailgate down? Tacoma, Tundra, F-150...

I had a Ranger on my 2000 Tacoma for a while and loved it. It came a couple inches past the end of the tailgate. I put Timbrens on the truck to handle the load with no problems. I like the extra room the Ranger provides and it's really cool that you can heat up hot water for coffee without closing up the top bunk.

my daughter has a ranger on '08 tacoma crewcab longbed....hangers over a bit....but has worked well, many extended trips since '08

I'm purchasing the ranger and truck together, but I'm just thinking about down the road when I would need to purchase a newer truck. I like the extended space and configuration of the ranger. Looking forward to finally having a camper.
