I just noticed I have some dry rot on a 1"x4" at the front of the camper. I could probably replace it without removing the camper but its time for a thorough inspection anyway. I just painted a section of my walkway with grey garage paint and it would certainly be convenient if I could use it on wood.

Any reason not to use pressure treated wood?

I'd say that some type of treated wood is definitely called for. you may already know this but, when painting pressure treated wood be sure that it has throughly dried otherwise you won't get good adhesion. The same applies to stains and sealers, as they won't be absorbed. That could take a few months.

Check the label, does it say can be used on wood? If so be sure to use the recommended primer. I used Ace hardware exterior porch paint on the exterior of my Hawk, it's holding up well.
