Chesty Puller was an old school Son of Virginia warrior right out of the textbook. Born and raised on the upper York River, educated at Virginia Military Institute, lived in retirement at Saluda, and died in Hampton.

Thanks to all Marines who served and still serve, and thanks also to the "dirt sailors" who wear the same uniform and serve shoulder to shoulder with the Marines--the Corpsmen and the Seabees.
