Thanks for your thoughts. The fire is near North San Juan and well away from Grass Valley/Nevada City, but I know a few folks who live in the area. I check the fire news 1st thing when I wake up and every few hours throughout the day, even while I'm out on the road if there's cell reception.

The bigger fire is east of Oroville - apparently started by some yahoo's illegal campfire ( he was arrested ). Over 1600 firefighters are out there risking their lives because somebody just had to have a campfire. Unbelievable!!
