Hello everyone!
I'm new to this wonderful forum and been trying to decide what the heck to do? At first I thought I might want to build my own camper van and make it the way I want, or think what I want. Then logistics set in and thought a truck pop up camper would fit the bill. Have to up grade to a bigger truck to do that. Then, while I have been searching all over the place, I discovered a GTRV conversion on a 2010 E150 Ford van in my local area, which is Washington state.
Looking at GTRV web site, they seem to be a very good company and have a quality product.
My question is, does anyone out there have any information about these conversions? The price of the van is a bit high at around $36,000+, at least I think that might be high, not really sure about that. Not bad mileage at 102000. By the pic's, looks to be in good condition. Gas mileage could be a concern because of the year.
I am still unsure what to do. I think I will go look at the van since it is fairly close. I really don't like looking unless I'm pretty serious about what I'm looking at. So far a pop up truck camper looks good to me, but probably will have quite an amount of $$ in that investment. I will pull a small trailer for a motorcycle too. Been traveling by motorcycle and camping for years and want to get inside when it is raining, lol.
I would appreciate any input on this subject. I know it is a bit of a loaded question, but I like to hear from people that do this stuff to get the best information I can to make a decision.
