I have recently purchased a Hawk shell and want to add items to the shell which require drilling and bolting through the exterior. After adding a table swingarm to the front wall of the shell, I have realized how light weight everything is.
I'm looking for more information on how the framework of the shell is constructed, and specifically on mounting to the Main frame that runs around the top. I believe it is a 5 1/2" C-channel or tube. By bolting through it or any of the frame studs, are spacers needed to keep the tubes from collapsing?

Congratulations on your Hawk shell! I am still waiting on mine and have had some of the same questions as you. I did find this pic somewhere and have kept it as a reference so maybe it will help you.
I have pretty much decided to go off the jack brackets though.

hmmm can’t seem to post an image....? It was on hereuntilthere.com if you can find it.

the pic JWL posted looks to be from a relatively new Hawk. What year is yours from?

My Hawk is a 2019. Thanks for the picture, it is better than the one I have. Do you know the year of the model in the picture?
