High Sierra Bliss

I was thinking to my self at work the other day how nice it would be for a little R&R in the High Sierra. This time of year the weather is usually pretty nice and the Bugs aren't out in full force yet. Reading Stan's post on his trip to Yosemite sealed the deal for me and I was quite sure that the Co-Pilot would be paws up for it. So with little else to do but gather up some groceries and the fishing gear we departed for Yosemite and the E. Sierra in search of Brownies and Goldens. Here are some pictures from the Mariposa Grove, Wawona lodge and Glacier Pt.

Marc, was wondering if you got near Bridgeport Res.Man I miss that place, used to hit it a couple of times a year, but i'm pretty far away now, I want fish pics.

Didn't make it to Bridgeport this year, but was there last Sept/Oct. The resivoir was way, way down. Here's some Pic's from that trip. Fish pics to come.

The last couple of days were spent near lee vining. The rainbows were biting good during the day and the nights were rather brisk. Here is a pic of nights supper and some camp shots.

I haven't been to yosemite in ten for fifteen years. Reminds how much I need to get back there. You hit the waterfalls at the perfect time.

I just have to take a deep breath each time I see those pics. Tioga pass, 395 and everything in between. Have FWC will travel!!! Thanks for the nice ones.

great pictures

looks like you got lucky with a new dusting of snow

I prefer the cooler weather over the hot weather

When we were up there a few weeks ago it was 92 degrees

Normally 92 isn't bad, but at the high elevations you really feel those rays


We might try for another trip this fall with some other family members.
