Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier

Has anyone used a StowAway Hitch Mount Swing Away Frame with FWC, ATC or other slide in camper? Any pros or cons would be great.

When I bought my used Phoenix it came with a Rola hitch mounted swing away storage container (https://www.amazon.com/ROLA-59109-Adventure-System-Swing/dp/B000E7YP8W)

I have used it a couple times when I need to carry more gear. I have two cable locks that go around it to keep it closed and secured, in addition to the built in locks.

Just a couple of issues with the one I have: Built in locks are kind of wimpy, as are the latches that connect it to the base. Also it blocks the rear camera so its harder to see what's back there in reverse.

The Stowaway looks like the swingaway platform is above the receiver mount, maybe 6 inches.
It has been on my mind for some time, debate over a cargo hitch vs a small cargo trailer. I have been in places that backing out was the only way out.
Plan on trip to NV, CA, NM, AZ, CO and the states in-between this fall.
