Took a little day trip up to Hobart Reservoir. It's a beautiful place and the difficult road up to it, keeps the crowds to a minimum.

great report on Hobart. With the Truckee so low Hobart has become one of my favorites the past couple of years.

Yes, those fish are picky! I had pretty good luck with a generic foam beetle back in early July but haven't been back since.

Love hearing about the Tenkara adventures as well. I just picked up one at a clearance sale on a whim but haven't had a chance to wet a line with it yet.

First drove that road 1986 and the last time. Hiked several times but it is just to hard packed with rolling marbles to enjoy it coming down. Glad you enjoyed the trip.
