How battery charge in freezing temperature?

Hello Lucas and welcome:)

Based on the link I assume you are looking at a LiFeP04 battery. They do not like to be charged below freezing temps but many have insulated the install to help keep the battery warm and a small heating pad type arrangement can help. If you are not going to travel in very cold weather a lot it may not be such an issue.

AGM's and Lead Acid are fine in freezing weather.

Other's will chime in I am sure:)

Good Luck :)

I have read of putting a heat source ( ie heat pad) and a aluminum plate on top then that batteries. I’m sure there is a temp probe to regulate the temperature. Also this was a very large system on a all electric camper. Another idea might be to duct part of your heat to the battery compartment. I think they only need to be above freezing.
