How to fill the tank with water..

I ought it looked easy enough, screw the hose into the side of the rig, turn on water and fill.... But I can't see or hear the water filling... Is there a valve I need to turn ? I have a. Fwc grandby...

I was only able to fill using the non pressurized fill... ;(

yup...that how it's done. Good thing you had the faucet closed otherwise you'd be filling the inside. Don't ask how I know... haha!

The threaded connection is only used to supply water (under pressure) to the faucet. You should only connect to the city water via the pressure regulator. The water tank is refilled only via the filler hole to the left of the pressure connection.

Worse would have been to rupture a line because a pressure regulator wasn' t in place between the faucet and shore water connection.

I've never hooked up to a pressurized/city/shore water source (I rarely camp in "full-hookup" sites), so I'm ignorant about this...
...But I wonder: Why isn't the pressure regulator just hard-plumbed/built-in/permanent, to that line if it's necessary? Is there any situation where you'd use that connection when you wouldn't want a pressure regulator?

Its a learning curve for me. I've been out and about using the camper for about a month now and learning the intricacies of camping in a truck camper. I unintentionally keep comparing functionality to my last adventuring vehicle, a 2004 Sportsmobile E350 Van. In that van, there was only 1 threaded connection outside where you could hook up to a pressurized fill -- when you wanted to fill the tank, you flipped a valve and it switched from fill to direct to faucet. If you wanted to gravity fill there was another connection "inside" which you could fill it (although that was pretty inconvenient too.) I use the pressurized one from the tap from my faucet outside my house to fill it up before the trip. No big deal now I suppose -- I just fill in the next spot over.

Now waiting for the next problem.
