Interesting attempt to assess long-term reliability in vehicles

This morning a CarTalk tweet led me to an interesting project which captures and ranks long-term data on vehicle reliability. The web site for it is at Keluaran SGP | Togel Singapore | Data SGP | Pengeluaran SGP Hari Ini.

The site made me think about how the data fits in with my own experience and about my opinions of the various manufacturers and models. Looks like I've got some more research to do.

I found it useful to look up my vehicles to get a feel for the data and how it's presented, then explore into other manufacturers and models, then into the linked reports. I found the 'Pickup Issue Rate' (year-by-year plots of defect rates compared to the average) particularly interesting.

Another data point is good. Not much detail on specific models yet, although it is a developing project. I find the narrative articles more interesting than the charts. Another alternative to Consumer Reports I have used is TrueDelta.com.
