Inverter installed

I had an 800w one but it was too small and wasn't designed to be mounted. Found a xantrex 1200 plus on ebay for just about half price. Figured it wouldn't take more than two hours to install. Wrong. Took about six. Still need to add a couple cable clamps and clean up the wiring. Now I'm off to look at micro microwaves.

Good short cable runs and a clean installation. Worth the extra time. How'd the bear taste afterword?

Nice thing about having the inverter right by the battery. I didnt have to make any custom cables. Just bought automotive battery cables and put some heavy shrink tubing on the ends.

Nice to have such an inverter...

As for microwaves...

I have the WAVE, the portable DC/AC microwave. about 175 bucks, small, but portable and I can take it out if I don't need it. Eats a lot of juice.
Probably would run the engine while I used it just to be safe.

Still to run bigger wires to the camper. probably 6 g or so to run the current needed.

Just more things to do. Good luck on the microwave. Nice. very nice to have indeed.
