Is This Heresy?

I saw one at California speedway last weekend (Nascar infield). Very clever arrangement.
Seems like you would need to pay attention to the weight distribution, a sort of balancing act.
What is the weight cap?

The weight distribution will be interesting. I guess they are designed to be carrying so with nothing it might be too light in the front. Maybe I should bring an ATV to put on it when I go pick it up?? I'm planning on getting a weight distributing hitch but probably not by the time I go get it next week. It weighs around 4000 empty with a payload around 2500 so it has plenty of capacity to haul our 600# atv and maybe 2 motorcycles that add another 600, but usually just one, I can always throw more in the back of the truck. Good time to have a F250 and a 7.3 :)

Well, having just returned from another four weeks in Baja and having now seen most of its beautiful, bumpy back roads, Roxanna and I have decided to move onto the pavement and increase the elbow room in our RV. We've put the Grandby up for sale (See Gear Exchange Forum) and started looking at 5th wheels.
if it is heresy, I hope we'll still be able to put in our two cents here once in a while without the flames licking too intensely.

Holiday Wishes to all, Bob

To all whom are considering trailers and "smoother" trails,

It's not heresy to want more comfortable accomodations. I bought my FWC, knowing that with it, I wouldn't go to some of the same places I did in my Toyota. I may end up with a trailer myself some day. If we should happen to meet in some remote location - you on your toys, and me at my camp, say at 8,000' in the Inyo Mountains - feel free to stop in for a visit. All wanders are welcome at my camp.

bobg333, I hope to read about your travels in your new rig. This site is called "Wander the West", not "beat the tar out of your truck". There are other good sites for that. Keep us posted, and good luck.

different trips require different types of accommodation, nothing wrong with that.

I kinda miss my little trailer I used to have (decided to just slim down to one camper, FWC won). The extra elbow room and not having to climb in an out were nice.

they sure do narrow down your terrain choices quickly though
