Just one more strut question

Do any of you that beach camp or camp where there is a onshore flow off the ocean have any problems with the strut shafts or mounting hardware rusting or corroding?

The housing on mine did get some "pock" marks of rust. I live close to the coast so there is some salt in the fog.
I sanded the tubes down and sprayed them with a good rust primer than wrapped them with black electrical tape.
Seems to have taken care of the issue.

I've had the same experience as Frank. One of the tubes showed a little rust after several years of exposure. A little sanding and a rattle can paint job and it's as good as new. I haven't had any problem with the shafts.
