I haven't been logging on for a bit… life got a little busy. Back to work on the truck and the camper. Truck stuff first.. a light bar.
I couldn't find anything stock so we welded up a custom bar. Would love to take credit but I mostly copied this design from a friends truck.
First step was to cut some holes in the POS plastic bumper:
Then we removed the plastic and welded on these brackets:
Fab and paint the bar:
Thread the bar through the holes, bolt it up, and attach the lights. Sounds easy, right...
I'm stoked with how it turned out. Can't wait to test out the lights. Going with two for now, it's easy enough to remove the bar and add more tabs if I decide I want more lights. I'm putting the camper back on this weekend - next project is new roof racks.
