Looking for jacks, is Reico the only option?

I'm looking to buy a used FWC and it does not come with jacks. Not all that excited about buying a brand new set but if that's the only option I guess I will have to. Are Reico's the only brand that will fit? I haven't seen the camper yet but am scheduled to look at it this coming Friday. Are the campers built with the jack brackets or is that an option. This is a 10-15 year old camper.

Thanks

Reico isnt the only option, but they are the most common option.

FYI there are manual (screw and spring) jacks and there are hydraulic ones. I recommend the mechanical ones because they don't need rebuilding or servicing. I've never seen one fail yet.

I just saw a set on Craigslist. Looks like you and the seller are in different places, but maybe you can make it work: http://boulder.craigslist.org/rvs/3545679987.html

I just bought a used FWC that didn't come with camper jacks. I've been watching for a month now, and the used ones don't seem to come up that often. My local RV shop has a set of 4 for $600.00 and I saw the same price at Tweetys. If I don't find a used set soon, I'll be buying the $600 set. The RV shop said the $600.00 set is kind of light duty, but for a light camper like FWC, they should be no problem. Good luck

Thanks. I bought an Alaskan and ended up buying a new set of jacks. Because of the weight of the Alaskans I got the heavy duty 2k lb. set. Way to much money but what are ya gonna do?

If you live in Northern California the best place to buy Reico jacks is from ATC. The cost was around $500 and Marty threw in some from drill adapters and bolts for free.
