I'm a newbie who has just picked up my 10' NCO vintage 1969 Unit #822

It is going on my also new to me 92 GMC dually 10' flat bed.

The Alaska is in good condition for been to Australia and back in its 42 years.
But I do have to redo the top end of the front end due to water damage.

Thinking of switching the door end to the front for 2 basic reasons.
1- To get the heavy end where it belongs.
2- Like the idea to be sleeping near the exit door in case of fire. Being older I have burn't the odd pot's lid off-lol

Where the present door is it could be closed.
Would have to crawl to the hydraulic pump to raise and lower or switch to an electric when money becomes available
or create access as sitting on the flat bed provides for some creativity.

Would appreciate any thoughts from the experienced persons on this site.

Has this been done.

thanks
