My Trip To Lourdes

For what it is worth... I tried the thermarest route on our last trip and it wasn't nearly as comfortable as the memory foam.

I read a lot of posts over on EXPO from the trailer & RTT guys that the memory foam gets real hard if it's below freezing. I don't usually run my furnace at night mostly due to the fact that the old furnace isn't very reliable in reigniting after a few cycles & it's also very loud. any experience here with memory foam at below freezing temps?

My hawk came with a 4in. pad which is great. However, I'm a down freak and have a feather bed over the pad. I also use a down comforter with a flannel cover that is very comfortable. The down will compress easily when lowering the top and then I shake it out or put it in the sun to puff it up again. Down feathers are a wonderful way to go as long as they stay dry.. Terri
