Hey everyone!
New to this site but excited to join in. My wife and I recently put a deposit down on a new Bobcat for our Tacoma, should be ready by next June! Looking for any info to get ready, especially with suspension. Probably going to add a leaf in the back and upgrade the shocks. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. We went with a standard bobcat but took the couch and fridge out. We will probably add a bench in and Engel fridge later.

Thanks everyone!

Welcome to the cult.Congrats on the Bobcat.
ATC are makers of great campers.
Ours in an 2009,actually ordered almost 11 years to the day
before yours,we took delivery first week of Dec same year.
Didn't know there was now such a long build time.WOW.

There is a lot of info on this site.Ask lots of questions.
Many talented and knowledgeable members here.

Congrats from a fellow ATC owner. My wait was 3 months last July and I thought that was long. It'll be worth the wait!

I just got home from ATC and putting in my deposit on an Ocelot shell with a few options. Marty is quoting 8 months lead time. It's going to be a long Autumn, Winter and Spring.
Congrats on your Bobcat!

Welome NR,
Glad you pulled the trigger, pretty sure you won't regret this choice.
As you know, we love ours.

Great choice in going with ATC and Congratulations on your new camper. I am getting super close on putting a
deposit on a new Panther. Can't wait!

Congratulations on your camper order.
We have been very happy with our Cougar.
Jeff and Marty are great to work with.

Welcome to WTW.

Congratulations on your ATC Bobcat order. The eight month wait will feel like twice that but you won't regret it.

ATC builds an excellent camper and well known for their awesome customer service as well.

Picking up our camper this Thursday! Unfortunately, we have to work the next day (and next weekend) so we won't be able to test it out. But we are already planning our maiden voyage.

We put in a shelf for a 110V fridge. Any recommendations on brands or styles? We also have the Yeti that we will also bring on trips.

Looking forward to sharing our experiences (and pictures) with you!

Congrats on your new ATC. I have a Truckfridge TF51 and very happy with it. Be sure to check the turnbuckles often as they will loosen up. I just use a screwdriver to give them a 1/4 turn after hand tightening. Looking forward to pics of your new rig!!

Oh yeah- bring a step stool.

Ditto on the Truckfridge. I have the TF45 and use it along with the 3 way.
They are very quiet and use very lite power.
On our last Alaska trip 2016 it ran for 5 nights on the battery while on the ferry.
Enjoy your Bobcat,we have ours for 12 years.
Great camper and people who built it.
Frank

Congrats. I just got a Dometic CFX3 55IM. 53 liters, and it makes ice. It was that or the ARB 50 liter, I went with Dometic for the slightly larger capacity and slightly less weight.

Thanks for the tips everyone!
Another question, I'm starting to take the current canopy off and clearing everything out. Does my bed liner need to come out? It appears to be bolted onto the bed. Just wondering how bare bones the bed needs to be before I get the camper in there?
Thanks!

Thank you, I'll give them a call.
After a little more research, the Tacoma comes with a stock composite bed that I think is supposed to stay in.
Based on the photos I've seen, other Tacomas have the composite bed still in with campers.
Either way, really excited to pick it up this week!
Nick

I have an 05 Tacoma with a Bobcat Camper on it, and you are right they have a composite bed. Enjoy your new camper.

Picked up a dometic cfx3 35 for the camper. Hangs over the edge of the Engel shelf they built though. Only a couple of inches so not terrible but noticeable. Has anyone had any issues with this and the furnace?

I couldn’t seem to find a more square sized cooler that had the same space. Luckily, I also picked up some D-rings and straps to help secure it for travel.
