How old is it? Might have to figure out how to make one out of some hard wood or something on a lathe, or find a large dowel. Has it ever been subject to unusual loads?

At a couple months old, that's not good. I feel better about spending so much more on the Lagun.

I hope it can be fixed.

I was dubious of that part when it arrived. It may just be the rivets have worked loose. With removing the plate from the bottom of the table top there's no way to know. I would likely machine a replacement from Acetal as I'm thinking that there must be a reason that neither version uses aluminum there.
