Howdy.
Wanted to say hello and introduce myself. As you can guess from my creative screen name, my name is Vic. I've lived in Reno for a number of years but spent most of my free time around Yellowstone/ southern Montana where I grew up, and I'm guilty of not knowing much about what is in my own back yard. That is changing though with new work schedules and my daughter is now in school. The rig is a 99 Dodge Ram 2500 and a 2000 Sunlite Eagle pop-up camper. I've had both since new and hope to keep them a lot longer.
The truck is 2wd so we spend a lot of time on the back roads rather then off-road, but when we get that itch, this follows us along:
My plans are to explore western Nevada and Northern/Central CA over the next couple of years - mostly long weekends or 3 to 4 day trips. We particularly like the out of the way national monuments (had a great visit to Pinnacles this spring) and California has some really nice state parks (hope they survive). Hope to get some more ideas from the trip reports and post some of my own soon.
