New Mexico wildfires Four Corners Area

I was alarmed and saddened to read about the wildfires currently in the Four Corners area.

Perhaps Bosque Bill can let us know whether there is slowing or control of the infernos.

Also another south of Ignacio in Arena Canyon.

The MyRadar app on iPad now shows wildfires with pertinent info.

Inciweb indicates a Ute Park fire in that area

Nearly 30 thousand acres burned near Durango and also the Ute Park fire.....many home destyoyed or threatened.

The Durango 416 fire (which is near hwy 550 between Hermosa and Purgatory ski area) has burned (as of this morning) around 2400 acres. (The Ute Creek fire near Cimarron, NM is over 36,000 acres.)

550 Hwy between Durango and Silverton has been closed but had one lane reopen and then close again due to smoke visibility issues. We have almost 25 close friends that live in a trailer park near the fire and many may be 'rooming' with us! We'll have a party!
