I got some new Cooper Discoverer AT3 in the 265/70R18 size on my 2008 Tundra with the ATC Cougar in the bed. These are Load E rated and are very heavy duty, and just a tad taller than what is called for on the door jamb (it was as close as I could get). Very good in snow and ice on mountain passes, and added a lot of stability around town and on curvy roads. Less bouncy too. When you are pushing the limits of payload this kind of tire really makes a difference. I think my city driving gas mileage took a little hit, but highway seems the same as the old Geolanders.

Must be the day for tires. I just put 4 new tires on my 2005 Tundra. Hurt because I had 30,000 miles on my Michelin XL's tread had over 30,000 left. But they were 11 years old and getting lots of cracks, I do long drives and not worth the chance. Put on Kumho's A/T's 55,000 mile warranty and I will not do that in the next ten years.

We put E rated 10-ply conti TerrainContacts on a month or so ago. Like them alot.
