After lurking here awhile I found a truck camper to call mine. It is a 90's Four Wheel Camper Ranger II converted to an Eagle. It has all the amenities including a catalytic heater, three way fridge, sink, stove, roll over couch, and pull out queen bed. After a weekend out in the Ochocos I'm pretty sure it will work as a first truck camper. I've been checking out all the folks on WTW with blogs as a library of trip reports I decided I needed a repository of my own. So with that, the first trip report is posted at: www.ocidentalist.org/maiden-voyage/

Next up is a Thanksgiving trip down to Redwood National Park and then up the Oregon coast at least as far as Shore Acres State Park. I'm so excited to have a truck camper on the pickup!

See you all down the road....

Thanks for the replies all. Excitedly packing for the next trip today. Off to the redwoods then up the Oregon coast.
