Trail Master
I have only been through Death Valley once about 15 years ago on a long road trip and only had about an hour to stop (it wasn't the destination, just along the way). With a few days off before Christmas with the family I decided a visit was in order. Not having been there before I hit some of the more 'typical' spots and had a great time. Stops included:
Stovepipe Wells Sand Dunes: http://www.occidentalist.org/death-valley-2015-arrival/
Marble Canyon: http://www.occidentalist.org/death-valley-2015-marble-canyon/
The Valley proper: http://www.occidentalist.org/death-valley-2015-badwater/
Titus Canyon and the Racetrack: http://www.occidentalist.org/death-valley-2015-titus-canyon-and-racetrack/
It was a great trip, I took over 500 pictures which I will be sorting through in the coming weeks. I can't wait to get back and get a bit off the beaten track now that I feel a bit more oriented to the park.
Check out the links for the full report and a few photos.
