Older Camper - Fabric repairs

Yea, some of us "others" are out there. So, I will start this off with a question for fellow Palomino owners or just owners of older pop-top campers in general. How do you repair the old vinyl windows/screening? And YES I already am a strong advocate of Duct tape but hoping for a more elegant solution.

Try to find a canvas shop like a place that makes truck tarps. These people can sew almost anything. Also I think a place called Idaho canvas has a bunch of measurements for quite a few brands of campers.

Yup, there are " others " of us out here.

I cant zip up my vinal windows when it's cold, or they will rip apart (seperate) from the canvas. If it's warm out, they will zip up ok, but are getting pretty tight. My screening is getting pretty worn too.

Iv'e duct taped a few spots that have seperated here and there, but eventually going to have to do something about it.

I think they sell new replacement top vinyl sections for my camper, but would probably cost alot more than I paid for the camper.

Their name is not coming to mind, but there is a company with a good rep that makes replacement canvas for canvas tent trailers. A search of related forums should turn up their name. I know that I've seen it posted on Expo and possibly also in IH8MUD's trailer forum.
Another option is a marine canvas shop if you're anywhere near a coast or large boating region.

I second the recommendation for looking to a marine canvas/curtains shop. Plenty of camper folks use marine canvas shops for repairs/replacements.

Thanks for the info. At this point in the year it is a chore I can put off till spring and let the duct tape repairs work through another winter.
