Commentary is by Juan Browne, a local friend from a second gen family.
I wonder what the repair costs will be to keep the dam together? Estimates are already at $150M, which often doubles.

Very interesting. Guess the damage was worse than what I was seeing on the news. Thanks for sharing and hopefully the repairs will fix things. jd

Interesting he's a family friend. He seems to have some pretty good sources. Yeah, the damage is worse than I thought every new view I see. I wonder if when the repairs are all done it won't be (likely) more expensive than had they built a proper spillway for the emergency spillway way back in the beginning. Almost makes me wish I was a heavy equipment operator.

I just checked out another of Jaun Brown's Utube videos.
He has made 18 so far about the problems with the workings of the dam.
