Rear fill in pieces...

I just bought a '94 Grandby for my '97 Dodge. It won't quite slide all the way in. There are fill in pieces at the rear, about 1". Has anyone one ever removed these for a better slide in fit? Any input would help. Thanks...

I bought the camper and haven't seen it yet. The seller said it appears you can remove the side end pieces for more slide in clearance.

I was just wondering what the folks on this site thought about it...
