Last night I noticed my rear "porch" light (the orange one) won't turn on. The bulb appears to be fine and it worked the day before. Is it on the same fuse as the exterior lights? If so, the fuse is fine. The wire insulation has worn slightly as it was rubbing on a screw in the housing (maybe 2mm exposed). Looks like it should work though. Switch still goes click, but no light.

Any thoughts?

I had the same problem and it was the switch....my switched clicked as well but nothing....the boys at ATC sent me a replacement and all was good.

Cort

ps/ its easy enough to check to see whether you have power coming in or not

I really should stop storing my voltmeter in the hardest to get to place in my camper!!

Will test the switch, thanks.

Check the tip to see if you have 12v power coming to the light bulb.

If you do, then check the ground wire.

Not all, but in most cases, the ground wire just needed to be unscrewed, cleaned, and re-attached.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Stan, will check today.

Mine turned out to fused wrong. The fuse was there but in the wrong slot.

Which fuse was it?

the chart for the fuses is pasted on the back of the cover for the circuit breakers (NOT the cover for the fuses!!)
In my Eagle slot 11 should have a 10 amp fuse for the external lights. Instead I found a 10 amp fuse in slot 10 which should be empty. Moving the fuse over one slot brightened up my night.

This is probaly the fuse diagram for your camper.

You could start by checking slot # 11

It was the switch after all, checked with my handy voltmeter. I switched it on and off as hard as I could 5 or 6 times and now it works again! Go figure. Probably from rain/road dust, I'm sure a blast of clean water or compressed air on a dry day would work. Maybe some dielectric grease in there for the future.
