Removing toilet or water heater - exterior hole

Has anyone removed their toilet or hot water heater? I'm thinking about it.. and wondering what would be good to cover the holes in the walls. Would you try to match the siding, or just cover the holes w/ fake doors or access panel type covers?

edit to say, I just realized it's my campers birthday! (at least my ownership birthday.)

I would use fake panels, and I would try to do the removal so it is reversible to retain the resale value of the features.
