Reno Hot Air Balloon Race September

Howdy

She who must be obeyed has decided that she would like some balloons for her 65 birthday and off we go to Reno Balloon race in early September.

Has anyone attended this event and can comment on camping perhaps two nights during it ?

We know it is Reno and etc.etc.

We aim to Wander thru ORegon and Nevada quite a bit on the way down and back...maybe over to Utah.

We only have about a month as we need cat setting at home.

Hi David, I live in Reno and there are tons of places to camp all around me, but it being so close to Tahoe, a lot of campgrounds are reserved months in advance. If you don't mind a 40 minute drive into Reno, there are a lot of campgrounds between Reno and Truckee and it's an easy drive, although the balloon events are early in the morning.

If all else fails, I have an acre in South Reno and you all are more than welcome to "pop up" on my property.
