Renogy 200A AGM

Wow that thing is 125#s.
That's a lot of battery.

Renogy stands by their products.
I have 2 of their solar panels and have
had great service.

They carry a great line of products.

Yes. Heavy. I have 2 of the Exides that came with the FWC and I believe they are 100 pounds together for 150 ah. I don’t know if I am ready to do the LiFePO4 route with all the additional upgrades that seem to be required, chargers, isolators, wiring, etc.

One thing I found while searching batteries was the amp
size coupled to solar size.
I upped my battery size to a 100a. That's the biggest my solar system
would support. My system is 105w.

Yes, good point. I currently have 160w. If I increase to a 200a battery I might try go for 300w. Depends on panel size and weight. I’m not getting any younger and my roof is not getting bigger.

I just checked my battery is a VMAX-TANK brand.
You might check that brand out.
They have a lot of info on their site.

I hear you on the roof issue.
Do you use the lift-struts?

Yes on the lift struts. 40# in front and 30# rear. Easy enough to go up but I also carry a speaker stand in case I need it or my wife needs pop up
I don’t know how much my panel weighs but I know I did notice it was easier to pop up when
I added the 40#s in front.

I’ll check the battery out. Thanks. I’m considering putting in a shunt so I can tell how much power I actually use. I don’t use much but am considering supplementing my 3 -way Dometic with a a compressor cooler of some sort. Probably store it under the front dinette (usually always down as a bed) and run a wire straight from the batteries to a 12v outlet I will install. Fun to think up the changes. Learning about all the electrical is also interesting to me.
