I would love to have the increased space of a glass top stove and I was wondering if anyone here has replaced their Atwood/standard stove with a glass top. It looks like Panther RV has a Dometic one that is roughly the same size as my current one. I know it does not have piezo/electronic ignition...not desired. The only thing I am a bit nervous of is making propane connection at the new stove. I would love to hear anyone's thoughts that has completed a retrofit like this.

I did a new install of a glass top purchased from Panther RV in my ATC Bobcat Shell.

Easy to do the propane connections and easy to check for leaks, just a little soapy water in a spray/mister. No bubbles, all is tight and good. If you get bubbles, not tight, so tighten them up.With a retro-fit, you're probably only talking about a single connection.

Can't help you on the size of the counter top openings, however, the mounting of the glass top was also easy. A little clamp at each of the four corners.
