I tried searching but to no avail ( please steer me if you know a good thread). My Eagle on the Chevy Colorado has the over-cab end directly over my front door. So when raining and I either open the door window or get out of the truck I get wet or the inside of the truck does. I think all it would take is a half moon drip edge applied on the top of the roof (not on the roof overhang side metal). If on the side metal the water would overshoot a drip edge an inch below. I was thinking of just keeping it away from that corner area so that the water stays off the door/windows. I was thinking something akin (but more robust....say 1" high) to the back of the counter drip edge. I would like a peel and stick if that is available but if not I could use adhesive. All "MacGyver" ideas appreciated.

I tried these RV gutters and was very disappointed: http://rvgutters.com/ezervgutters.aspx

The amount of water that pours off the camper roof, even after a modest rain, when I get in or out is more than the gutter can handle. I did install them as they are intended along the edge of the roof edge. Perhaps if they were mounted on the roof itself, as you mention, they might work better.

Thank you all for the fast replies.
Bill I think the gutter http://rvgutters.com/ultrawhite.aspx
might work if applied to the top on the front two corners leaving center four feet open over windshield and going around the corner maybe 2 ft. I just hate that cold rain down the back feeling.
Thanks
Rob

The gutter is designed to bend in only one direction, so mounting on the vertical surface it bent around the radius of the roof well. If you mount it flat on the roof, as I think you're saying, then it won't bend around the corner, but if you plan on running a strip straight front to back, it should work. Plan it carefully, as the adhesive backing is super strong and you'll be stuck with however it's mounted.

I tried the same rv gutter and can not recommend it.
Not only did it get completely overwhelmed by moderate rain, the sticky tape did not hold. I peeled it off after about 3 weeks.

I am looking for a good solution.....

I installed some on my Fleet and I wish I would have installed on the actual roof as well. Plan is to order more and do each side of roof.
